Veterans Initiatives

As many as 35% percent of soldiers serving in Iraq and Afghanistan are expected to suffer from mental health issues upon their return. The challenges of veterans reintegrating into society are complex. The implications of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), often referred to as an invisible wound, can be seen in homelessness, drug use, spousal abuse, and suicide.

For more than 20 years, Omega has offered hope and healing to veterans and family members dealing with issues of PTSD. Your support of these programs allows us to provide scholarships to cover the cost of tuition, room, and board for veterans and caregivers who might not otherwise be able to attend.
