Iced Tea

Tea has been used in refreshers and punches for centuries. Here are some creative iced tea recipes from our friends at Numi Tea. There’s sure to be one you’d like to leisurely sip on a warm afternoon or bring to your next summer barbeque.

 

 

 

 

MINTY POMEGRANATE REFRESHER
(makes 1 12-ounce serving)
3/4 cup (one steeped tea bag) Numi Mint Pu·erh Tea
1/4 cup fresh organic pomegranate juice
1 teaspoon mint syrup
1 teaspoon agave syrup
Steep tea in 3/4 cup of hot water for 10 minutes. Blend ingredients and serve iced.

SUMMER CAFÉ CANTALOUPE TEA DAIQUIRI (NON-ALCOHOLIC)
(makes 1 10-ounce serving)
3 ounces. Numi Moroccan Mint Tea
3 unces frozen, cubed cantaloupe
1 part coconut milk
Splash of lemon juice
Steep tea to twice its normal strength. Remove tea bag and chill the tea. When tea is chilled, blend with other ingredients in a blender. Serve over ice and garnish with a wedge of lemon.

 

BASIL JASMINE REFRESHER
(makes 1 12-ounce serving)
3/4 cup (one steeped tea bag) Numi Jasmine Green Tea
1/4 cup chilled organic blood orange juice
1 teaspoon agave syrup
6 fresh basil leaves, muddled
Steep tea in 3/4 cup hot water for 10 minutes. Place all ingredients in a shaker and shake for 10 seconds. Serve chilled.

SUPER BERRY-MINT
(makes 1 12-ounce serving)
3/4 cup (one steeped tea bag) Numi Berry Black Tea
1/4 cup chilled organic acai juice
1/4 cup frozen blueberries
1 teaspoon mint syrup
1/4 cup ice
Steep tea in 3/4 cup hot water for 10 minutes. Blend ingredients and serve iced.

SPICE ORANGE LEMONADE
(makes 1 12-ounce serving)
3/4 cup (one steeped tea bag) Numi Orange Spice Tea
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
1 teaspoon agave syrup
Splash of ginger ale
Steep tea in 3/4 cup hot water for 10 minutes. Blend ingredients and serve iced.

MANGO BLACK TEASER
(makes 1 12-ounce serving)
3/4 cup (one steeped tea bag) Numi Breakfast Blend Tea
1/4 cup fresh mango purée or juice
1 teaspoon agave syrup
Steep tea in 3/4 cup hot water for 10 minutes. Blend ingredients and serve iced.
