Cool Off With a Numi Iced Tea

There's nothing quite like a refreshing cool drink in the heat of summer. This inspired collection of recipes from Numi® Organic Tea elevates traditional iced tea to center stage. Numi's emphasis on high quality organic ingredients—100% real fruits, flowers, and spices—lets the pure taste of tea shine through.

 

  • ICED HONEYED ROOIBOS CHAI

    Makes 1 (10 ounce) serving
     
    Ingredients
    1 Numi Rooibos Chai tea bag
    1 cup freshly-boiled water
    ¼ cup chilled unsweetened vanilla soy milk
    1 teaspoon honey
     
    Directions
    1. Steep tea in water for 10 minutes.
    2. Combine tea, milk, and honey in a shaker and allow to cool slightly.
    3. Shake vigorously for 10 seconds.
    4. Pour over ice.
    5. Serve with dusting of cinnamon powder.
  • SUMMER CAFÉ CANTALOUPE TEA DAIQUIRI (NON-ALCOHOLIC)

    Makes 1 (10 ounce) serving
     
    Ingredients
    1 Numi Morrocan Mint tea bag
    3 ounces freshly boiled water
    3 ounces frozen cubed cantaloupe
    6 ounces coconut milk
    Splash of lemon juice
     
    Directions
    1. Steep tea in water for 10 minutes. Remove bag and chill.
    2. Combine and blend ingredients in blender.
    3. Serve over ice.
    4. Garnish with lemon wedge.
  • A PITCHER OF (YOUR FAVORITE) NUMI TEA

    Makes 1 (32 ounce) pitcher
     
    Ingredients
    4 Numi tea bags, flavor of your choice
     
    Directions
    1. Steep 4 tea bags in 16 ounces of hot water for 8 minutes.
    2. Fill a separate pitcher with ice. 
    3. Pour hot tea over the ice and top off with more ice.
  • CITRUS-MINT FRAPPE 

    Makes 1 (16 ounce) serving

    Ingredients
    1 Numi Moroccan Mint tea bag
    ¾ cup freshly-boiled water
    ¾ cup orange juice
    16 ounces ice
    ½ cup regular organic yogurt
    1 pump agave syrup
     
    Directions
    1. Steep tea in water for 10 minutes.
    2. Chill tea.
    3. Combine and blend ingredients in blender.
  • DUTCH TEA or DOUBLE CHOCOLATE TEA

    Serve this one hot or cold and adjust the ingredients for varying serving sizes, always keeping it at the same proportion.

    Ingredients
    4 parts prepared Numi Chocolate Pu·erh
    2 parts chocolate-infused vodka*
    1 part heavy cream 
    Pinch sugar 
    Pinch powdered cocoa 
     
    Directions
    1. Steep 1 Numi Chocolate Pu·erh tea bag at normal strength with freshly boiled water for 3 minutes, then remove bag.
    2. Add vodka* and stir. (*For a non-alcoholic treat, replace the vodka with more tea and add your favorite drinking chocolate.)
    3. Whip cream with a little sugar and float on top. 
    4. Dust with powdered cocoa to garnish.
