Description

Qigong, also called Chinese Yoga, is a powerful way of being in the world. As we practice qigong with focused intent, we tap entire worlds of inspired wisdom, including Taoism, Buddhism, traditional Chinese energy medicine, and other ancient systems devised to understand the nature of nature. The Tao Te Ching refers to the “practice of eternity” when describing this way of being.

Guided by master teacher Roger Jahnke, we learn qigong forms and practices to use on our own and to share with family, friends, patients, and clients. Delving deeper into the Tao Te Ching, we investigate the making of “inner elixir” and its relationship to longevity and well-being.

We also explore the Secret of the Golden Flower, a Chinese text about meditation and a deep spiritual practice called “elixir alchemy”—particularly its relationship to “inner light” cultivation, the practice we can use when engaged in the myriad details of worldly existence. As we learn and practice sincerely, we experience balance, harmony, and true freedom.

Health professionals, beginning students of traditional Chinese healing practices, and those who seek healing are welcome, as are experienced qigong, tai chi, and yoga practitioners.
