Description

David Gershon and Gail Straub are renowned for their pioneering work in the field of empowerment and their mastery of personal growth facilitation. Developed over three decades, their empowerment framework has been used by thousands of practitioners worldwide to enable profound transformation at the personal, organizational, community, and societal levels.

This weekend experiential empowerment training provides you with the knowledge and skills to apply the empowerment framework both professionally and personally. Together, we explore how to:

  • Help individuals shift from a pathological worldview to a visionary worldview and from a static to an organic model of growth, and achieve self-awareness and behavior change using the empowerment model, a structure for transformative change
  • Apply the empowerment methodology, a four-part strategy for transformative change to help individuals increase self-knowledge so they can discover what's important to them, translate this knowledge into a compelling vision, identify and transform limiting beliefs that arise when creating something new, and develop the skills of directed thought to manifest their vision.
  • Facilitate the empowerment coaching model, a how-to for personal transformation, to enable a person to create and manifest a new possibility, their growing edge

Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be better able to:

  • Develop competency in appplying the 3-part Empowerment Model (framework for transformation): shift from pathology to vision, shift form static to organic growth and integration of self awareness and behavior change

  • Apply the four-part Empowerment Methodology (behavior change operating system) – awareness, vision, transformation, growth.

  • Assess and describe how to transform the five core beliefs that make up a person’s unconcious worldview – self esteem, self responsbility, trust, flowing with change and postive attitude.

  • Apply the seven sources of personal power needed to sustain personal growth over time – commitment, discipline, support system, inner guidance, love, lightness, finding your own truth.

  • Create a learning and growth environment of safety and trust needed for individuals to risk deep personal change.

  • Apply the Empowerment Framework to facilitate behavioral change.

This empowerment training is appropriate for coaches, trainers, organizational development practitioners, therapists, social workers, community organizers, social entrepreneurs, managers, educators, health-care professionals, parents, and anyone wishing to empower others.
