Sharing yoga with children can be a unique and fulfilling way to bring great joy to both teacher and student. This training offers an exceptional opportunity to learn how.
Little Flower Yoga, a Yoga Alliance certified school, is one of the most professional and comprehensive children’s yoga certification training programs available. Taught by the founding director of Little Flower Yoga, Jennifer Cohen Harper, this training shows you how to teach yoga classes that use all aspects of yoga practice to meet children’s physical, emotional, and social needs.
This children’s yoga certification training incorporates yoga and mindfulness activities that help children connect to themselves and to their community; access the power of their breath; develop focus and concentration; find strength, balance, and confidence; recognize and regulate their own emotions; and learn how to nurture themselves through relaxation.
This training also addresses the challenges of teaching in schools, as well as information about how to set up new classes, get insurance, and talk to schools about incorporating yoga into their curricula.
No yoga training is required, although a basic familiarity with yoga practice is recommended.
$15 materials fee; include when you register. This training qualifies participants for a Level One Certificate, which can be applied to Little Flower Yoga’s full, three-level children’s yoga certification.
