Description

Shamanism has become a major component in the modern world’s spiritual awakening. With anthropologist Hank Wesselman, we explore the shaman’s path to reconnect with our spirit helpers, spirit teachers, and ancestral spirits as we engage in visionary fieldwork and rediscover our indigenous heart.

Throughout the week we examine the nature of our health, illness, and healing from the perspective of spirit medicine, and create a powerful healing ritual of exercises focused on ancestral healing. The workshop provides a powerful introduction for those new to the shaman’s path, as well as material from the Hawaiian kahuna perspective to enhance the practice of those with more experience in shamanism.

In the 1970s while doing fieldwork in Ethiopia, Hank Wesselman experienced spontaneous expanded states of awareness that brought him to direct, personal contact with the ancient methods practiced by tribal peoples. In the 1980s, he had a series of visionary encounters in Hawaii that form the core of the teachings of this workshop.
