As shamanic practitioners, we use our bodies and minds as a bridge between the visible and invisible worlds, allowing gifts to flow from the hidden spiritual realms into ours. These gifts are conveyed to us by elemental spirits—those nature spirits that govern the four elements of earth, water, air, and fire.

As gatekeepers, we look to develop a special relationship with one of the elemental spirits. Many indigenous cultures believe we are born embodying the essence of one of the elementals and the gifts we receive from them may determine the shape of our unique genius.

Shaman, author, and anthropologist Hank Wesselman takes us on an experiential journey to explore the nature of the primary elemental spirits and the gifts they have to offer. We encounter our primary elemental and learn what it means to be a gatekeeper between worlds.

Please note that faculty asks that you refrain from drinking any alcoholic beverages during the course of the workshop.

Things to Bring:

You are asked to bring drums and rattles, a notebook, a bandana or eyeshade, and a light blanket.  Additionally, the faculty recommends you read any of his books in preparation for the course.
