Description

We are no longer taking online registrations for this workshop.

A growing body of medical research shows that tai chi promotes physical and psychological health and rehabilitation.

In this tai chi workshop taught by internationally recognized tai chi teacher and researcher, Peter Wayne, you learn a practical, simple tai chi regimen that emphasizes what Wayne calls the “eight active ingredients of tai chi.” You also learn about the clinical benefits of tai chi for cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, and psychological health.

This tai chi workshop also offers complementary meditative qigong and fun interactive exercises to further explore the therapeutic and everyday applications of tai chi. You learn practical tips for developing your own tai chi practice program and for finding a tai chi program in your community.

Tai Chi for Health & Wellness is perfect for beginners interested in an introduction to tai chi for wellness and rehabilitation, experienced tai chi and healing arts practitioners and teachers wanting to better understand the interface between Eastern practices and science, and health professionals interested in self-care and a better understanding of medical research supporting the use of mind-body exercises for their patients.
