Description

It may seem as though the surface of our minds is full of discord like choppy water, but there exists a deep ocean of harmony and well-being underneath.

This weekend, Steve Taylor, a researcher and author whose work has been described by Eckhart Tolle as “an important contribution to the shift in consciousness happening on our planet,” helps us experience and learn how to cultivate this inner harmony.

We begin with an investigation into the cognitive discord of the human mind, and then through meditation practices, experiential exercises, talks, and question-and-answer sessions, create more positive thought patterns and attempt to “dis-identify” with our thoughts and eventually to slow and still our minds. In short, to get ourselves back to sanity.

We also practice extending empathy and returning to what Taylor calls a child’s eye vision of the world. We examine our own awakening experiences and moments of harmony, and look at how to make these moments permanent. We consider the importance of releasing ourselves from psychological attachments and experience the liberating effect of becoming aware of our own mortality. Tyler also reads poems from his new book, The Meaning, and combines the reading with spiritual exercises.

This workshop, appropriate for both helping professionals and nonprofessionals, offers an exceptional opportunity to heal our minds and tune into our fundamental nature of harmony and well-being.
