Description

We were made to love and be loved. Loving ourselves and others is in our genetic code. But many of us find it a challenge to let love into our lives. We might be afraid of getting hurt or have a hard time accepting or even recognizing love from others. And love that isn't shared leaves us feeling unfulfilled.

David Richo, author of How to Be an Adult in Love, guides us in learning how to love in evolved, adult ways—beginning with getting past the barriers that keep us from loving ourselves, then showing us how we can open to loving others.

Through dialogue, experiential practices, and guided explorations, we confront our fears of love and loving, learn how to love others with an awareness of our boundaries, and explore ways to love ourselves with generosity and without guilt. Exploring wisdom from Buddhism, psychology, and a range of spiritual traditions, we learn practical tools for avoiding the pitfalls that can occur in love relationships and for enhancing the way love shows up in our lives.

This workshop is appropriate for anyone interested in how to love in evolved, adult ways and for helping professionals who want to use skills they learn with their clients.
