We live with an inescapable paradox; we are infused with limitless desires, feelings, ideas, and aspirations; and we live in limited, vulnerable bodies that decay and die. In the 21st century, the gift of longevity means that we have more years to become fully human, more connected to the transcendent, and more devoted to those who will live on after we are gone. How do time-bound creatures enter the realm of timelessness? How do aging individuals experience the ageless dimension of their souls? How does a person shape his or her life's legacy and prepare for the experience of dying? How can we become more loving and more compassionate as we grow older? How can we contribute to a future that we will never see? With personal writing, guided meditation, music, and poetry, this experiential workshop helps us address these questions in the context of our own lives. CE credit available.
