| Coming to Our Senses: Healing Ourselves & the World Through Mindfulness Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD In this workshop, Jon Kabat-Zinn introduces the practice and the healing potential of mindfulness as it relates to both personal aging and the maturation of the species. We explore how cultivating mindfulness in small and very practical ways can help us tap into and refine the innate wisdom of both the mind and the body and to draw on boundless reserves of energy as we age. This workshop is based on his work over the past 27 years in mindfulness-based stress reduction and on his recent book, Coming to Our Senses. We practice literally and metaphorically coming to our senses using our eyes, our ears, our nose, our tongue, our body, and our mind (considered the sixth sense in the Buddhist tradition).
