Anxiety Reduction Through Yoga

It is all too common for yoga students to slip backward in their yoga practice due to tension and stress that build up "off the mat." This class explores the classical definition of yoga as the practice of reducing "vritti," or mental agitation. We review the ways in which anxiety becomes embedded in the tissues of the body and how stress affects circulation, immunity, respiration, flexibility, and equilibrium. Lecture/Meditation.
