Erica Kyriakatos, MA, CYT
Erica Kyriakatos, MA, CYT, is the creator of Fully Embodied, a service offering Embodied Vinyasa yoga style, Embodiment Therapy, and Thai Yoga Massage. Kyriakatos conducts yoga retreats and assists world-renowned Shiva Rea in teacher trainings and retreats around the country. She studied Ayurveda in Kerala, India with James Bailey, and cofacilitates yoga and Ayurveda retreats to guide individuals to coming home to balance. Her clients range from at-risk youth to individuals with traumatic brain injury.
Kyriakatos earned her master’s degree in transpersonal psychology from the Institute for Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto, California and has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Her teaching is influenced by her background in transpersonal and somatic psychology, psychosynthesis, and studies in Thai Yoga massage, as well as the teachings of Pema Chödrön. She is author of an article published in Yogi Times titled, “Does Being a Yoga Teacher also Mean Being Fearless?” (Dec/Jan 2005, Issue 28). Kyriakatos lives in Santa Monica, California.
