Gina M. Biegel, MA, LMFT, is a psychotherapist who works primarily with adolescents, children, and families through her private practice and a large health management organization in California. She uses the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program extensively with adolescents and has conducted and published studies on the efficacy of MBSR with this population.
Biegel’s passion and focus is teaching MBSR to adolescents, children, adults, teachers, and health and business professionals. She is currently exploring brain imaging work at Stanford University with adolescents who practice MBSR and is actively bringing mindfulness into the school system while at the same time studying its effectiveness in that setting. She is also writing her first book for teens on stress reduction. |
