Jacqueline Kabat

Jacqueline Kabat has been involved in all aspects of comedy improvisation and sketch writing during her 12 years in New York City. She has studied with, written, and performed for Second City’s Ann Bowen and with the Upright Citizens Brigade. She has also studied with Saturday Night Live’s Amy Poehler.

Kabat has founded two improv groups and currently performs with the award-winning New York-based troupe Rash Behaviour, whose sketches have appeared on the Independent Film Channel. The group was also the focus of a documentary, Confederate Behaviour, which won an honorable mention at both the New York and Los Angeles independent film festivals.

Kabat teaches comedy improv at theaters in Manhattan and destination spas around the world. She also leads corporate comedy team building workshops for companies such as Bank of America, Procter & Gamble, and McGraw Hill.

A writer for Time Out New York, Kabat also has been featured in Body + Soul magazine in an article about the healing power of comedy improvisation.
