Howard Sonenklar
Howard Sonenklar, a professor of somatic awareness and theater studies at the University of Lisbon, has been involved in movement research, education, and performance for more than 30 years.
After 15 years of dancing and teaching in contemporary and contact improvisation movement, he developed a passion for the hidden elements of body-mind consciousness and began extensive research on the body’s physiological, psychological, and emotional capacities. This research led to his study of John Upledger’s CranioSacral Therapy and certification in Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen’s Body-Mind Centering® and the Danis Bois Method (fasciatherapy and somatic-psychoeducation).
Sonenklar currently has a private practice in Lisbon and offers workshops and private consultations worldwide.
