Omega Teen Camp History

Omega Teen Camp is directly owned and operated by the Omega Institute, the nation's most trusted source for wellness and personal growth. Located in Rhinebeck, New York, Omega has been offering adults innovative educational experiences that awaken the best in the human spirit for more than 30 years.

In 2000, one of Omega's long-time staff members, Adam Simon, had the idea to create a summer camp exclusively for teenagers that would be in alignment with Omega's mission and values. Omega Teen Camp began in the summer of 2002 with about 50 teenagers and 10 staff members spending four weeks together doing all sorts of wonderful traditional and nontraditional summer camp activities, and forging authentic friendships. The camp has grown steadily and we currently host more than 300 teenagers and 60 staff members.

While our camp has gotten bigger, our mission to provide an experience where every teenager feels that Omega Teen Camp is "a great place to be exactly who you are," has remained unchanged.
