Sueño Azul Resort

Planning Your Stay

Passport. Citizens from all countries are required to have a passport to enter Costa Rica. The passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the dates of your trip. Some countries also require a visa.

Telephone. Sueño Azul has public phones you can use with a calling card or credit card. We advise you to purchase calling cards at the San José airport before you depart to Sueño Azul. Phone cards are for sale at Sueño Azul on a limited basis. Cell phones from anywhere outside of Costa Rica—even those with an international chip—will not work in Costa Rica.

Internet Access. Sueño Azul has free broadband Internet access. There are three laptop hookups available in a common area near the reception desk. A computer is available for public use in the office of the Omega representative.

Immunizations. There are no required vaccinations for entering Costa Rica. Although you are unlikely to encounter any serious diseases during your stay at Sueño Azul, a number of vaccines are available for you to pursue. If you are planning to travel elsewhere during your stay in Costa Rica, get latest information on health-related issues in Costa Rica from the Center for Disease Control at cdc.gov/travel/.

Climate. December through April is Costa Rica's dry (and high) season. Be sure to book your flight in plenty of time to get the best deals (see our Getting There section). Temperatures in and around Sueño Azul during January through April average in the 70s to 80s with moderate to high humidity.
