Long Pond Lake—Rhinebeck Campus
Omega's 80-acre Long Pond Lake is a serene haven for recreation and wildlife. At the shore, you'll find a sandy beach and plenty of canoes, kayaks, and rowboats to help you enjoy the outdoors. Take time to go for a swim, paddle a canoe, or relax in one of our shaded hammocks. Our Lake is free from the noise and pollution of motorboats and in the quiet, you just might spot one of the two wildlife species it protects, the endangered Northern Cricket Frog and the Blanding Turtles, a threatened species.
To access Long Pond Lake, just follow one of the marked paths across from the Dining Hall, on the opposite side of Lake Drive.
Long Pond Lake Hours
11:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m., Memorial Day through Labor Day, weather permitting. All swimming is supervised by professionally certified lifeguards.
