Together Ayurveda (the ancient Indian science of life) and yoga help us reconnect with our center and give us the wisdom to live our day-to-day life in harmony with our own true nature, and with Mother Nature.
Clinical Ayruvedic specialist Niika Quistgard and certified yoga teacher Erica Kyriakatos offer us a personal experience of Ayurveda's three doshas-vata, pitta, and kapha-as they manifest in us and others, in our yoga practice, in the natural world, and in the foods, environments, and situations of our daily life.
Through sensory experiments and perceptions, group discussion, journaling, and yoga, we recognize our unique Ayurvedic nature and taste the joy, health, and practicality of living a life of balance.
This workshop is open to all yoga students and teachers, as well as health professionals who may want to understand their clients through the wisdom of Ayurveda.
Bring a yoga mat and a small packet of snack food. Recommended reading: Earth, Wind & Fire and Balancing Act. Both articles can be found at mayashakti-ayurveda.com .
