Omega is pleased to present a 5-day intensive course with Debbie Ford, a renowned expert in incorporating the study and integration of the shadow into modern psychological and spiritual practices.
This is an in-depth inquiry into the shadow-the disowned, rejected, and unloved aspects of ourself. Through dialogue, meditation, study, and practice, we discover the sacred purpose of the shadow, not as a problem to be solved or an enemy to be conquered, but a fertile field to be cultivated. We come to understand how our most humiliating, feared, and hated qualities are the same traits that hold the key to our greatest expression and evolution.
The week includes a fascinating examination of the shadow as the culprit behind self-sabotage; the mechanisms of repression, denial, and projection (identifying both our own projections and others'); the power of subpersonality work; and a life-changing look at the relationship between shame, fear, and the false self. Ford also illuminates what really propels people to make deep, lasting change and how to cause transformation to occur.
This workshop is equally useful for laypeople and professionals alike.
Upon completion of this workshop, professional participants will be able to:
- incorporate the study and integration of the shadow into modern psychological and spiritual practices
- facilitate clients’ in-depth inquiry into the shadow—the disowned, rejected, and unloved aspects of oneself
- describe how one’s most humiliating, feared, and hated qualities are the same traits that hold the key to one’s greatest expression and evolution.
- utilize specific techniques to help their clients:
- untangle from limiting beliefs and self-sabotaging behaviors
- free themselves from the prison of old grudges, regrets, and heartaches
- find compassion for the parts of themselves that they have judged, rejected, hated, or felt ashamed of
- be more able to be themselves and experience greater self-acceptance and emotional freedom
- increase their feelings self-love and self-worth
- and use the pain of their pasts to spur them to the highest expression of themselves
