On this summer solstice, you are invited to open the floodgates of your own authentic creative expression. And you may be surprised and delighted by the results.

In Touch Drawing, the touch of fingertips on paper that is placed over a layer of paint creates imprints on the underside. The simplicity and directness of this process allows us to create many images in a single session and helps us access deep layers of soul and spirit.

Deborah Koff-Chapin, creator of Touch Drawing, establishes a safe and sacred atmosphere for our inward explorations. We are serenaded by evocative live music and supported by unintrusive suggestions as we draw. Complementary art forms, such as writing, toning, movement, and talking circles, help to open channels of expression and integrate our images.

Experienced artists find new sources of inspiration, while the “artistically unconfident” discover the joy of authentic creative expression.

Touch Drawing has applications in therapy, healing, creativity, and spiritual awareness. We gain enough experience this weekend to continue its use in our particular field of endeavor, whether it is personal growth or professional development.

Bring a smock or old shirt and a writing journal.

Deborah Koff-Chapin has been developing Touch Drawing since originating it in 1974. She is creator of SoulCards 1&2 and author of Drawing Out Your Soul. Koff-Chapin is an adjunct professor at California Institute of Integral Studies and Wisdom University, and has presented at conferences and institutions worldwide. touchdrawing.com
