 Heather Cumming is co-author (with Karen Leffler) of John of God: The Brazilian Healer Who's Touched the Lives of Millions, "a guidebook for travelers to the Casa and a brief look into the life of the man, John of God."
Cumming is a Daughter of the Casa, a member of the family of Casa mediums, and an official Casa Tour Guide and Translator. In 2003, John of God requested that she become his personal caretaker and translator for his international healing trips. Cumming is devoted to supporting John of God's mission and now also serves as his liaison for healing tours to North America.
Born and raised on a cattle ranch in the interior of Brazil, Cumming has studied with shamans and healers in Bolivia, Brazil, and the United States. She maintains a private practice in Westport, Connecticut and divides her time between Connecticut and Abadiânia, Brazil, the site of John of God's healing center, the Casa de Dom Inácio.
