In this deeply experiential workshop, we create a sacred circle and learn practical tools to transform traumatic life events into the stepping-stones of emotional healing. Terry Hunt and Maggie Zellner lead us in discovering healthy responses to stressful situations in our families, intimate relationships, and friendships, as well as with authority figures. The task of emotional healing is to embrace all of our feelings and become fully alive. Without emotional healing, healthy pleasure in current relationships is difficult to cultivate, and we are often left suffering from low self-esteem, depression, or compulsive behavior. In a safe environment, we use music, intensive breathing, meditation, and bioenergetic movement to access, express, and release blocked emotions. Upon completion of this workshop you will be better able to - Use physical exercises to get a better sense of reality
- Discuss ways to increase our capacity for deep emotion
- Employ techniques to deepen connectedness
- Use techniques and processes to help clients move from codependence to aliveness, validate ourselves, and find intimacy through autonomy and healthy boundaries
- Guide ourself and clients in learning how to enjoy and pursue a fulfilling life
