Mothers and Daughters

Learning From Each Other in the Teen Years (Ages 13-15)

Registration for this workshop has ended. Go to the Search Workshops page to look for upcoming workshops.

In this workshop, Sil Reynolds and her 17-year-old daughter Eliza lead mothers and their 13- to 15-year-old daughters in a weekend of initiation, communication, and celebration. We take the time to nourish our relationship and learn how to respect and understand each other more completely. Through ritual, storytelling, art, and exercises in communication, we gain tools that build bridges and keep those bridges strong through the teen years.

Mothers have time with Sil to address issues of motherhood, mentoring, and letting go. Daughters have time with Eliza to express their feelings and share their vision. As a group, mothers and daughters learn new ways of being together in mutual respect and love. Together, we honor all women who came before us, and all those who will follow us.

Please bring photographs and symbols of daughters, mothers, grandmothers, surrogate mothers, and female mentors. Sil and Eliza Reynolds are also teaching a workshop for mothers and their 10- to 12-year-old daughters May 16-18 and October 24-26.

Sil Reynolds, RN, is a nurse practitioner in private practice, a counselor, and a teacher. For more than 25 years, she has worked with women and girls teaching about healthy body image, conscious communication, and the joys of motherhood. stoneridgehealingarts.com
