Introduction to Energy Psychology

New Dimensions in Self-Managing Emotions, Thought & Performance

Registration for this workshop has ended. Go to the Search Workshops page to look for upcoming workshops.

Energy psychology is believed by many to be one of the most potent and promising clinical and self-development innovations in recent decades. While drawing from ancient spiritual practices and healing traditions, it is a thoroughly modern approach that provides simple methods for shifting your brain’s response to unwanted thoughts, actions, and emotions, such as fear, anger, anxiety, jealousy, shame, and depression.

This hands-on introduction teaches you the basic principles and enough technique to immediately begin using energy psychology in your daily life. Guided by David Feinstein, one of the field’s most prominent voices, you learn to work with energy points on the skin to send signals that shift the electrical and chemical activity in your brain. Using this method, undesired responses can rapidly be uncoupled from their trigger, instantly providing you with greater ease and freedom to live your life more effectively and joyfully.

This workshop is appropriate for anyone who wants to jump-start desired changes in life, as well as health-care professionals who can apply this technique in their practices.

Recommended reading: Feinstein, The Promise of Energy Psychology. This class may be videotaped. By attending, you agree to allow your participation to be filmed. If you are currently in psychotherapy, please obtain explicit agreement from your therapist about participating in this class, which may bring up issues being addressed in your therapy. David Feinstein is also teaching (with Donna Eden) Energy Medicine; August 14-16, 2009.

David Feinstein, PhD, a clinical psychologist, has served on the faculties of The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Antioch College. His books addressing energy psychology have won four national awards, including USA Book News 2007 Book of the Year in the Psychology/Mental Health Category.
