Nowadays people are seeking an approach to medicine that is more sensitive to their needs as a whole person. This is especially true for those facing cancer. Patients, family members, and health professionals must grapple with a dizzying array of conventional as well as nonconventional treatment options, while also searching for meaningful ways to embrace the mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of healing.
What is the most conscious, empowered, and comprehensive response to a diagnosis of cancer? And, how can such a response be accomplished in the context of modern medicine and modern life?
Jeremy Geffen addresses these questions and other concerns by skillfully guiding us through seven critical areas of inquiry and exploration encountered by everyone on the journey through cancer. His seven levels of healing show how we can transform the cancer journey, and all aspects of life.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- describe the meaning of integrative and multidimensional approaches to health and healing;
- understand how complementary and alternative therapies can be safely and effectively utilized along with conventional therapies in modern cancer care;
- discuss the critical role that the mind, heart and spirit play in healing and transforming in the face of cancer—or any other illness—and how these can be addressed in the context of modern medicine;
- understand and describe the The Seven Levels of Healing: the key areas of inquiry and exploration which patients and loved ones must address in order to heal and transform at the deepest levels of the body, mind, heart and spirit—on the journey through any illness, challenge or life itself; and
- understand how The Seven Levels of Healing can be utilized by healthcare professionals, caregivers and practitioners of all kinds in their personal as well as professional lives.
