This annual and rare opportunity to join some of the Western world's leading devotional singers for a weekend of ecstatic chant is becoming one of the most popular events at Omega.

Known in Sanskrit as kirtan, devotional chanting awakens a longing in the heart for the experience of inner silence, meditation, boundless love, and union with the divine. Emerging from Hindu traditions in India, kirtan is the primary devotional practice of millions of people. In recent years, pioneering musicians and seekers have brought this magical tradition to the West, nourishing souls with its rich tradition of musical prayer.

Throughout the weekend-including an all-night Saturday session-we participate in kirtan sessions and explore a variety of chants and chanting styles, interspersed with the sharing of stories and reflections on our experiences.

Extended hours. See the participant letter for more information (pdf format; must have Adobe Acrobat Reader).
