Awakening the Dreamer

Exploring Spiritual, Social & Environmental Sustainability

This workshop has been cancelled.

Presented by The Omega Center for Sustainable Living and The Pachamama Alliance

A new vision is emerging on our planet, a vision of an awakened global consciousness rooted in environmental sustainability, social justice, and spiritual fulfillment. This weekend event, cosponsored by The Pachamama Alliance and Omega Institute, shows us how traditional wisdom and cutting-edge technology can lead us forward into this emerging new reality.

Friday
On Friday evening, Lynne Twist, founder of the Soul of Money Institute, shares how we can relate to money and the money culture in ways that affirm life and the common good, and John Perkins, an economist and expert in shamanism, shows us how people from diverse cultures and backgrounds can help us shift consciousness to more sustainable lifestyles

Saturday
Saturday’s events are led by Nancy Miriam Hawley, Bill Kistler, and Susan Lantz from The Pachamama Alliance, a nonprofit group working to create a new global vision of equity and sustainability.

Through dynamic group interactions, leading edge information, and inspiring multimedia, we are moved to reconnect with our deep concern for our world, and are empowered to make a difference.

Designed with the collaboration of some of the finest scientific, indigenous and activist minds in the world, this program explores the current state of our planet from a new perspective, and connects us with a powerful global movement to reclaim our future.

We explore four critical questions:

  • Where Are We? We examine the state of our environmental, social and personal well-being
  • How Did We Get Here? We trace the root causes that lead to our current imbalance
  • What’s Possible for the Future? We discover new ways of relating with each other, with the Earth, and the emerging movement for change
  • Where Do We Go from Here? We consider the stand we want to be in the world and our personal and collective impact

Sunday
Sunday’s sessions celebrate a project that is helping to accelerate the emergence of an environmentally sustainable world—the Omega Center for Sustainable Living (OCSL). Led by Skip Backus, Omega’s executive director and the visionary behind the OCSL, we learn how this new educational center and water treatment facility is pushing the boundaries of sustainable design. In the technology of the Eco Machine™, we witness how solutions to some of our most pressing problems are already present in nature itself, if we just stop and notice.

Throughout the weekend, we find courage and company as we boldly awaken and find ways to help contribute to this new Earth.
