Massage is a wonderful way for couples to support one another through conscious, loving, receptive touch. It contributes to more vibrancy and serenity in our work, play, sexuality, and sleep. In this workshop, we learn specific hands-on techniques, intuitive approaches, and ways to be mindful of the intent that we put into healing touch. We also explore: - Proper body mechanics in giving a massage
- Breathing exercises, stretching, and partner yoga
- Meditation and quiet centering techniques
- Self-massage, reflexology, and Self-Breema®
- Massage for common ailments
- Relaxation through group sharing and humor
In a warm and supportive atmosphere, each couple draws on aspects that work best with their own needs and experiences. The breadth of material covered is beneficial to beginners in bodywork as well as professionals. This workshop is also offered October 2-4. Jeff Levin, LMT, NMT, draws on 25 years of experience teaching and integrating various body-oriented approaches, such as qigong, meditation, and stretching techniques.
