No matter what form of qigong you choose—tai chi, traditional yoga, or sitting in stillness—the essentials of deepening your practice are not based in the form; the key is focused intent. Qigong (also called Chinese yoga) is not merely a technique; it is a way of life, the roots of which tap entire worlds of inspired wisdom—Taoism, Buddhism, Confucianism, traditional Chinese medicine, ancient quantum systems, and the transcendental realms.
With master teacher Roger Jahnke, we explore simple tao yin (self-healing) qigong to use on our own and to share with family, friends, patients, clients, and colleagues. Drawing on inspiration from the ancient Tao Te Ching, we investigate deeper qigong forms to cultivate our inner elixir and absorb the power of the universe.
We also explore the Secret of the Golden Flower, a Chinese text about meditation and a highly refined spiritual form of traditional “elixir alchemy” renowned for its merging of Taoism, Confucianism, and Buddhism, and its focus on inner light.
Health professionals, beginning students of traditional Chinese healing practices, and those who seek healing are welcome, as are experienced qigong, tai chi, and yoga practitioners.
