A Course in Miracles is a source of healing that has transformed the lives of thousands. It is a collection of profound teachings written down in the late 1960s and early 1970s by Helen Schucman, a clinical and research psychologist, who recorded what she heard from an inner voice that identified itself as Jesus. Published in 1976 with the help of Kenneth Wapnick, the Course focuses on healing relationships and freeing ourself from guilt through forgiveness.
This 5-day workshop is an excellent opportunity to learn the basics of the Course. Through lecture and discussion, we explore ways to integrate the Course's metaphysical principles with the practical demands of our everyday lives. We also discuss how we can see the world not as a prison from which we cannot escape, but as a classroom where we learn, according to Wapnick, "the Holy Spirit's lessons of forgiveness."
Kenneth Wapnick, PhD, has been working with A Course in Miracles since 1973, and assisted Helen Schucman, the Course's scribe, in preparing it for publication. He is president and cofounder, with his wife Gloria, of the Foundation for A Course in Miracles, which operates a teaching center in Temecula, California. facim.org |
