Why does great sex so often fade for couples who claim to love each other as much as ever? Why does deep intimacy not guarantee good sex? Why is the forbidden so erotic?
Guided by Esther Perel and her bold new take on intimacy and sex, we probe the ambiguities of love and desire, exploring ways to balance our need for security and closeness with our quest for separateness and passion. In an atmosphere free of judgement, we unlock our erotic intelligence.
Professional Objectives
Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be better able to:
- Describe how our emotional history shapes our erotic blueprints
- Recognize why more intimacy can lead to less sex
- Describe how to cultivate eroticism, playfulness, and mystery between partners
- Use techniques to help unlock erotic blocks
- Discuss how sexual desire can be kept alive after kids are born
- Identify ways to help ourselves and our clients want what we already have
Couples and individuals of all sexual orientations are welcome. This workshop is appropriate for clinical professionals as well as laypeople.
