As we learn traditional dances and songs from around the world, we uncover deeply embedded movements and messages from the past in the present moment within our own bodies and voices, and experience the universal presence of joy in all festive traditions.

This workshop offers a fun opportunity to explore a diverse repertoire of world dance and music, including line dances and songs of Greece, harmonies of Bulgaria, polyrhythms of the Georgia Sea Islands, the Chinese Ribbon Dance, the Indian Stick Dance, the South African Boot Dance, and Middle Eastern songs, dances, and drumming. From percussive to lyrical, flowing dances and music, we receive inspiration for our own dance as an affirmation of life itself.

Dancers, musicians, and teachers gain information to integrate into their performances and teaching.

No dance or music experience required.
