Dr. Satira Streeter Corbitt is a licensed clinical psychologist and founder/director of Ascensions Psychological, a nonprofit organization in Washington, DC. Since 2001, she has provided clients the assistance needed to improve their relationships with themselves, their loved ones, and their communities.
As a Certified Gottman Therapist, Satira travels across the country offering The Art and Science of Love retreat, based on more than 40 years of research by Drs. John and Julie Gottman. She collaborates with wellness centers, religious institutions, and community organizations to facilitate this relationship-changing experience.
For her work, she has received many honors including Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s “Community Health Leader.” She is a lifetime member of Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority, Inc., Wilberforce University Alumnae Association, and the Association of Black Psychologists.
