Mating in Captivity
Unlocking Erotic Intelligence
Why does great sex so often fade for couples who claim to love each other as much as ever? Why does a good intimate connection not guarantee good sex? Guided by internationally renowned therapist and author Esther Perel, Mating In Captivity advances a bold new take on intimacy and sex. In a fun and safe environment, learn to release erotic blocks, become more open with your partner about your needs, and cultivate novelty, playfulness, and mystery—in and out of the bedroom. Explore the bonds and conflicts of love and desire, and rekindle intimacy, curiosity, and sensuality in your relationship. Couples and individuals of all sexual orientations are welcome.
Accessing the Ancient Wisdom of the Ancestors
Experience ceremony and journeying, and explore the role of ancestors in your life. Drawing on the wisdom of indigenous cultures of North America, we delve into the idea of ancestral spirits—how to contact them, dialogue with them, and honor them, as well as hear and act on their advice in modern times. Learn about altars and bundles, their use and construction, and their role in ancestral contact. You return home with a richer, more satisfying relationship with your ancestors that you can rely on in daily life.
Yoga for Rejuvenation
Join Marianela Ortiz, codirector of the Spa Bodyworker program at the Gaia Foundation in Costa Rica, for a rejuvenating week of hatha yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Gaia Yoga, and chanting. Transform old patterns stored in the body through asanas and other dynamic movements. Activate kundalini energy and use yogic sounds to elevate and accelerate cellular vibration, while stimulating physical, mental, and emotional detoxification. Throughout the week, we also use sacred chant as a way of recovering, hearing, and trusting our deepest inner wisdom.
5Rhythms® Movement as Meditation
Created by Gabrielle Roth, the 5Rhythms®—flowing, staccato, chaos, lyrical, and stillness—form a simple yet profound moving meditation designed to be a catalyst for your creative potential and provide deep healing for your body, mind, and soul. This week, certified 5Rhythms® teacher Amber Ryan is your guide to this ecstatic dance practice. You learn to move from your head toward your authentic self, awakening the human potential that lives within you.
The Free Heart™
As human beings living in a conditional world, we tend to look outside of ourselves for perfect love and acceptance, and overlook what is already present in the core of our being and heart. Guided by spiritual counselor Annette Knopp, we learn through meditative inquiry and experiential exercises how to rediscover our natural wholeness, befriend ourselves, and use the challenges in our life as a doorway to come home to our true self.
Longevity & Beyond
Living Fully in This Moment
Physician and cofounder of Omega, Stephan Rechtschaffen, teaches holistic approaches to time, longevity, stress reduction, and well-being. Learn the fundamental basis for vitality and long life while finding fulfillment in the moment. Through lecture, visualization techniques, and mindfulness practices, the author of Timeshifting: Creating More Time to Enjoy Your Life and coauthor of Vitality and Wellness, shows you how to slow down and come into a more authentic and balanced rhythm of life that is the result of living fully in the present moment.
Free Fall of the Laughing Stream
Steven Michael Pague
Practicing qigong—using simple, yet profound systems of breathwork, mental focus, movement, and stillness—we learn to let go, allowing life force to flow. Experiencing the laughing free fall of the mystery of qi (chi), we increase general health and strengthen immune function, while also enhancing intuition, creativity, sexual vitality, and much more. Come away with a real sense of the promise of qi and a practical understanding of how to bring these restorative practices into daily life.
