Description

Lynne Hurdle-Price has spent the past 25 years working as an educational consultant in the field of social and emotional learning. During the last 10 years she has focused on contemplative practices. Now, she brings a unique combination incorporating her educational and contemplative work, along with her talents as a playwright, actress, and songstress, to help people build resilience.

Acting out some of the problems that prevent us from living fully and moving forward in our relationships and personal growth helps us manage our emotions and resolve conflicts creatively and effectively. During our time together, we write and deliver mindful monologues, apply new skills in reality role-plays, use theater games to promote group discussion, and spend time doing small group work for reflection and relaxation.

This workshop is for anyone who wants to explore his or her life and build resilience by using Hurdle-Price’s acting out methods, as well as for mental health professionals who are interested in learning about these methods to use with their clients.
