Description

We are no longer taking online registrations for this workshop.

Transform your yoga teaching, assisting, and even your own practice through the advanced art of yoga assisting. In this weekend intensive, you are given concrete tools to teach and deliver powerful assists, from basic to the most advanced asanas in Baron Baptiste’s book, Journey Into Power.

Join Baptiste yoga teacher, Kiersten Mooney, who shares her wisdom from years of teaching Baptiste Yoga internationally. Utilizing the Baptiste Yoga methodology as the blueprint, learn how to use your intuition and your entire body to provide effective assists in any pose.

These tools allow you to empower your students to achieve poses they never considered possible. Effectively take students into handstands, generate more freedom in half pigeon, and everything in between. Gain the confidence to assist anyone, anywhere, anytime—all while having fun!

This workshop begins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday and is done in a heated classroom. This program is open to all teachers with a minimum 200-hour certification through Yoga Alliance, who are looking to deepen their knowledge and experience of delivering hands-on assists. Learn to work with the biomechanical principles of the body to explore how it can move to bring a student right up to their growing edge in a pose, and where to place your hands to effectively and safely assist anyone in any pose. Hone your listening by exploring how the central nervous system and the energy systems of the body respond to movement. Through the power of touch and play, distinguish, discover, and experience a new awareness of when to push and pull, and when to back off an assist to land it powerfully in the student’s own experience.
