Life is meant to be an adventure. Yet as hard as we work at bringing energy to our careers, relationships, and everyday activities, we can sometimes feel off-track or stuck in a rut. Whether you are approaching a new stage of life, feeling uninspired at work, in a relationship in need of attention, or just looking for renewed inspiration, this workshop helps you regain a sense of vitality and purpose.
Your guide for the week is Matthew Walker, a world-renowned mountain climber and behavioral scientist. Through conversation, writing, hiking, movement, and art, you explore Walker’s “Five Elements of Adventure”—endeavor, uncertain outcome, total commitment, tolerance for adversity, and great companionship—and apply them to your own life. During the week, you learn to “cut through the noise” of distraction (electronics and multi-tasking); make clear and intentional choices to shift your life; and apply macro- and micro-mindfulness to your most important endeavors.
