Description

We are no longer taking online registrations for this workshop.

The power inherent in painting is that it can awaken a wild vein of passion that will not go back to sleep. Using only the simple tools of brush, paper, and paint, Awakening the Creative invites you on a stimulating journey into the heart of expressive painting, made possible through a safe environment and the personal support of Stewart Cubley and his experienced staff. The potential is to tap into an extraordinary resource—the vibrant, driving force of your own creative spirit.

In this painting workshop, everyone is a beginner. You are welcome even if you’ve never picked up a paintbrush. There will be no critiques, analysis of the work, or focus on the finished product. The goal is free expression, with the emphasis on the creative process rather than on technique or expertise. Awakening the Creative is an opportunity to embark on the greatest of all human adventures—embracing your own path and confidently following it.

This painting workshop may be of interest to people from a wide variety of disciplines, including art, education, counseling, social change, and meditative practices.
