Description

Insight teaches us the nature of change and opens us to a clear mind. Compassion teaches us that we can always be kind, even when conditions are difficult or painful. Like the two wings of a bird, these practices uplift our consciousness and guide us to live a life of devotion, authenticity, and courage.

This retreat-style workshop brings together training methods from ancient Buddhist India and Tibet, adapted to work within a contemporary life. Through dialogue, question-and-answer sessions, compassion exercises, and periods of silent and walking meditation, we explore a naturally relaxed awareness that helps bridge the gap between our spiritual and daily lives—to make our life whole.

As we refine and deepen our understanding, we begin to trust our innate creativity and wisdom, release harmful reactive patterns, unbind self-limiting attitudes, and move from harmful reactivity to kind responsiveness. With a mindful focus on the breath and body, we learn to rely on the love that impels us beyond blame and fear to live more openly and fully in the here and now.

No previous experience in meditation is necessary. This workshop is appropriate for laypeople and helping professionals.
