Continuing Education & Professional Training
Thousands of people come to Omega each year to further their professional development. If you are looking to bring new life into your career—whether you are in business, the helping professions, education, or a nonprofit organization—many of our workshops can serve your needs. Browse through the catalog for workshops that you believe will help you become a better employee, manager, business owner, or helping professional. Speak to your employer: Many companies offer their employees assistance in advanced training. Even if a workshop is not directly related to your specific field, your employer may want to support you in your quest for self-improvement.
Continuing Education Guidelines
Participation. To qualify for CE/CME credit, you must be registered in the workshop, have paid all fees in full, attended all sessions, and fully and actively participated in the program. You must pre-register for CE/CME credit; please be sure to include all related fees when you register.
Fees. There is a $35 fee for CE credit, unless stated otherwise in the course description. There will be an additional $35 fee for certificates that need to be reissued.
Procedures. To receive accreditation, you must sign in each day at your workshop. At the end of your workshop, you must drop off your signed disclaimer form, CE request form, workshop evaluation form, needs assessment form, and/or disclosure form (if applicable) at the main office. Failure to submit all fees and paperwork at the conclusion of the workshop will disqualify you from receiving CE/CME credit.
Certificate of Attendance. There is a $30 fee for a Certificate of Attendance for a workshop that you have attended, unless stated otherwise in the course description. In six to eight weeks, you will receive a Certificate of Attendance. There will be an additional $30 fee for certificates that need to be reissued. This is not a Continuing Education Certificate.
The Institute for the Advancement of Human Behavior (IAHB) and Omega Institute have entered into a joint sponsorship agreement to provide quality educational activities that are available for professional continuing education credit.
IAHB is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational organization located in Portola Valley, California. Its mission is to provide innovative, top quality continuing education and continuing medical education activities for professionals. The Institute’s programs encompass a comprehensive and multidisciplinary array of educational activities in the form of workshops, conferences, multi-media home-study materials, and customized training programs. Except as otherwise noted, IAHB has been approved as a provider of continuing education and continuing medical education by the organizations listed. Please refer to accreditation chart for designated activities and hours for your profession.
A Architects: Omega is registered with The American Institute of Architects (AIA) and is AIA/CERS Approved. Omega’s Provider Number is 50111134. Architects will receive one Learning Unit (LU) for each hours of approved course credit. For a detail breakdown of Learning Units, please refer to the individual workshop description on eOmega.org.
B Bodyworkers and Massage Therapists: IAHB is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education Approved Provider. Approved Provider #450111-06. All courses designated for bodyworkers and massage therapists have been approved or submitted to the NCBTMB for course approval. Please call Omega for current status.
C Certified Counselors: IAHB is an NBCC Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEP™) and co-sponsor of this event/program. IAHB may award NBCC approved clock hours for events or programs that meet NBCC requirements. The ACEP maintains responsibility for the content of this event. (NBCC Provider #5216). The New Jersey State Board of Marriage and Family Therapy Examiners recognizes the NBCC for course approval.
D Physicians: This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of the Institute for the Advancement of Human Behavior (IAHB) and The Omega Institute for Holistic Studies. IAHB is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. IAHB designates this live activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ per hour attended. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
F Fitness/Athletic Trainers: IAHB is recognized by the Board of Certification, Inc., to offer continuing education for Certified Athletic Trainers. According to the education levels described by the CEC Committee of the NATA, all education courses are designated to be Essential, Advanced, or Mastery Level. Indicated programs have been approved for Category A continuing education. Certified athletic trainers are responsible for claiming only those hours actually spent participating in the CE activity. BOC Approved Provider Number: P3330.
G Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors: IAHB is approved by the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors Approved Provider Program (NAADAC). Indicated activities are offered for 1 CEH per contact hour. (NAADAC Approved Education Provider #187)
N Nurses: Provider approved by the CA Board of Registered Nursing (BRN Provider CEP#2672) for 1 credit hour per each contact hour.
The Institute for Advancement of Human Behavior accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
P Psychologists: IAHB is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. IAHB maintains responsibility for indicated programs and their content. S Social Workers and Counselors State Accreditations: IAHB is approved by the State of Illinois Department of Professional Regulation for Marriage and Family Therapists (License #168-000119). As an approved continuing education provider for the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners, IAHB offers continuing education for Texas licensed social workers in compliance with the rules of the board. License No. 3876; MC 1982, PO Box 149347, Austin, TX 78714, (512) 719-3521; IAHB has been approved by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Marriage and Family Therapists to provide continuing education activities. Provider Number 154. IAHB is Co-Sponsor with R. Cassidy Seminars, ACE Provider #1082 approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) www.aswb.org, through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) Program. Approval Period: April 15, 2012-April 15, 2015. R. Cassidy Seminars maintains responsibility for the program. Social workers should contact their regulatory board to determine course approval. Social workers will receive 1 CE hour per hour attended of continuing education clinical social work clock hours for participating in the selected course.

Please check with your own professional licensing board to determine whether the accreditations listed are accepted.
