Embodying Conscious Femininity invites you to explore the frontiers of your unconscious in your own cellular being.

The renowned Jungian analyst and author, Marion Woodman, speaks of “the part of us who is outcast, the part who comes to consciousness through...mining our leaden darkness.”

This workshop offers you an opportunity to explore this part of yourself in a safe and supportive atmosphere. Based on the BodySoul Rhythms® work of Marion Woodman, Ann Skinner, and Mary Hamilton, Embodying Conscious Femininity offers you an opportunity to:

  • Descend into your "leaden darkness" to touch old wounds and new potential
  • Embody dream images, mine symptoms, explore movement and sounds, and listen deeply to the inner language of the soul
  • Inhabit the right brain’s world of symbols, metaphors, and dreams
  • Deepen your journey using fairy tales, journaling, dancing, and silence

This weekend workshop, for health professionals and laypeople alike, is a Marion Woodman Foundation Affiliated Workshop.

Upon completion of this workshop with Linda Kawer and Sherry Wheaton, participants will be better able to:

  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of the importance of dreams and dream interpretation as a guide for understanding psyche
  • Compare different styles of dream interpretation
  • Describe how the psyche can be viewed through the window of symbols, myth, and fairy tale
  • List  the fundamental concepts of conscious femininity: patience, paradox, and presence; holding the tension of the opposites
  • Explain the neurobiology of trauma, addiction, and of the embodied functions of mirroring, witnessing, and containing
  • Discuss the identification and experience of symptoms as symbols in the body

Embodying Conscious Femininity is open to women only and is of interest to those committed to personal and spiritual growth, as well as those in the helping professions.
