This retreat is an opportunity to experience one of the West’s most renowned senior teachers of nondual meditation, Francis Lucille. With clarity, humility, and impersonal compassion, Lucille transmits the ancient teaching of nonduality—the common ground of Advaita Vedanta, Ch’an Buddhism, Zen, Taoism, and Sufism—leading us to a deep understanding that what we are is love, the pure awareness behind and between all the activities of the mind.
Lucille is a spiritual teacher of the Advaita Vedanta tradition, and in Advaita Vedanta, the most direct path to self-realization is the study of truth, deep meditation, and association with the teacher through satsang. Satsang means “gathering in our true being.” This weeklong retreat is not a class in how to learn a particular meditation method. Instead, it’s a chance to sit in unstructured stillness and silence and enter into quiet dialogue with an awakened teacher. We also experience yoga of nonduality sessions and informal meetings in the evenings.
Lucille frequently refers to the works of Eastern and Western sages, so his teachings are widely accessible to both Eastern and Western students.
