Mindfulness-Based Mind Fitness Training® (MMFT) is a unique mindfulness and stress resilience program with documented benefits in enhancing cognitive, emotional, and physiological functioning under stressful conditions.
MMFT is the first mindfulness-based training program to have its beneficial effects with military populations documented in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Designed for individuals operating in extreme stress environments, MMFT cultivates stress resilience and mindfulness skills with specific body-based awareness and attention exercises to manage the physiological and psychological effects of extreme or prolonged stress on the body and mind.
This workshop—led by Mind Fitness Training Institute staff Colleen Mizuki and Solwazi Johnson—does not represent the complete Mindfulness-Based Mind Fitness Training program, but it does provide you with the knowledge and understanding to establish a personal mind fitness practice of your own. It is appropriate for health-care professionals, educators, people in high-stress occupations, and those who want to improve decision making under stress and learn how to integrate resilience skills into their high-stress occupations and daily lives.
This program fulfills one of the requirements for entry into the MMFT Trainer Certification Program conducted by the Mind Fitness Training Institute; see mind-fitness-training.org. Attendance at this workshop does not constitute authorization to teach MMFT.
The Children's Program is generally available during standard workshop hours only. Contact Omega registration at 800.944.1001 for details.
The above schedule is subject to change at the discretion of the faculty.
