Description

Mindful eating is an ancient practice of bringing one’s full attention to all the tastes, smells, thoughts, and feelings that arise around eating and food. When you learn to be present and aware in this way, you can experience the natural joy of eating, develop a more compassionate attitude toward your body, and quiet your often critical mind.

Mindfulness can deepen through the exploration of your relationship to eating and food, and provide an opportunity to see more clearly the connection of body, mind, and heart. It can also be a vehicle for bringing awareness to and through the senses about how, when, where, what, and why you eat.

In this retreat, Char Wilkins and Jan Chozen-Bays include eating exercises, discussions, and guided mindfulness meditations to help you look at your habits with food and connect with your body’s innate wisdom of hunger and satisfaction.

No meditation experience is necessary.
