Photography is the language of light, composition, and emotion. Only by seeing photographically can you convey that emotion, express your vision, and create images that rise above the mere “snapshot.” Seeing means encountering your subject matter with your whole being, and looking beyond the obvious to discover the remarkable natural world around you in every moment.

In this workshop, Robert Rodriguez, Jr. shows you the basics of effective composition, as well as the technical fundamentals of digital photography. Each day consists of group classroom sessions, slide-show presentations, photo critiques, and time in nature practicing everything discussed in class, including getting comfortable with your digital camera and its controls. You also learn the basics of interpreting your images using Adobe Lightroom 5 and explore mindfulness as a way to connect with nature and bring the beauty we each carry within us into our photography.

This workshop is suitable for all ability levels, and everyone receives personalized attention and guidance in a relaxed, creative environment.

Participants are encouraged to bring a digital SLR camera and laptop.
