Description

During this restorative yoga retreat weekend, we relax and de-stress in a fully supported environment.

In restorative yoga, we use a variety of props—such as blankets, bolsters, chairs, etc.—to support our bodies while we experience deep relaxation and a quieting of the mind. This fosters a deep connection with the body, allowing it to open and release tension and stress.

Led by Gillian Arthur, this retreat also incorporates simple pranayama (breathwork), gentle therapeutic movement, and yoga nidra for a fully integrated experience. During the retreat, we:

  • Learn a complete restorative practice
  • Create a home practice by learning to improvise props
  • Explore poses specific to your individual needs
  • Release stress and anxiety, and improve sleep

This retreat is suitable for beginners who wish to unwind and reduce stress, as well as yoga teachers and health-care professionals interested in incorporating restorative practices into their work. Body shape and size are not obstacles to this practice. This retreat is also suitable for women enjoying a healthy pregnancy.
